How engagements work

Week 1 — discovery & spec. You give me API access + a target user workflow. I produce a 1-page spec: which endpoints to wrap, which tools to expose, what the agent should be able to do.

Week 2-3 — build & ship. Fork the template, customise the client, register tools, write tests. You get a working MCP server with documentation, ready to deploy to your Claude / Cursor users.

Week 4 — harden & handoff. Multi-tenant auth, rate-limit handling, audit logging, deployment guide. You own everything — full source, MIT license, no vendor lock-in.

Security & compliance — built in, not bolted on

Every shipped MCP server passes the same audit checklist we use internally. These aren't extras — they're the baseline.

• isError-compliant: every tool call sets isError: true on the wire when it fails — no swallowed errors that LLMs mistake for success data.
• JSONL audit log: one record per tool call (timestamp, tool, request_id, args, result size, duration, error). Sink to stderr or a file via env var. Fail-open: a broken sink never breaks the tool.
• Secrets redaction: password, api_key, token, refresh_token, authorization stripped from audit records before write.
• Typed exception hierarchy: one exception class per failure mode (auth, not-found, rate-limit, network, server), each carrying http_status + request_id for replay.
• Dispatch-table error handling: a single (matcher, exception, message) table per HTTP status — no chained if raise ladders.
• Property-based tests (hypothesis) on every input validation path.
